Overview
The Starting a Business program trains future entrepreneurs to open businesses in various industries. Students are taught how to build a business plan, how to conduct market studies and plan for resources in the startup stages of the business.
Occupations
This program is intended for those wanting to be entrepreneurs as it helps you analyze and plan for business ideas. However skills learned are transferrable to many occupations such as sales.
Opportunities
At the end of the program you will be able to produce a professional business plan that you can use in your own start-up.

- ALL EXAMS are done at the centre
- Students must have a laptop/PC equipped with Windows 10

Required documents for Registration
- Birth certificate, long version with your parents’ names on it
- High school diploma or transcript
- Medicare card or driver’s license
- Birth certificate, long version with your parents’ names on it
- 3 consecutive years of notice of assessment tax forms or municipal tax forms (proving you have lived in Quebec for 3+ years)
- High school diploma AND transcript
- Medicare card or driver’s license
- Canadian citizen card/certificate or PR card
- CSQ (certificat de selection du Quebec) or 3 consecutive years of notice of assessment tax forms or municipal tax forms (proving you have lived in Quebec for 3+ years)
- High school diploma or proof equivalencies
- Medicare card or driver’s license
- Refugee claimant document
- CSQ (certificat de selection du Quebec) with an R8 code
- Study permit
- High school diploma or proof equivalencies
- Medicare card or driver’s license
No admission conditions required for this program of study.
Please note that the functional prerequisites do not apply to attestation of vocational specialty programs (AVS).
